Thank You, UTAR!

To be honest, UTAR was not my first choice of college or university. The main reasons for me to choose UTAR are my parents wanted me to get a bachelor degree and the fees in UTAR is affordable for my family. I never knew that UTAR has been shifted to Kampar and at that moment I never know that the existence of Kampar. In the end, I still choose to complete my foundation studies in UTAR Kampar campus. Friends and family members were so shock that why I choose to study in Kampar instead of completing my foundation studies in PJ campus then only move to Kampar. But I still hold on with my own decisions and moved to Kampar.

I’m glad that I have made the right decision and met a bunch of good housemates in Kampar. They are my sisters and they treat me just like their very own sister. We have been through happiness and sadness. Whenever I face any dilemma, they will give me advices. They always encourage me to be a better person. Other than meeting good housemates, I have met my best friend in UTAR during my foundation studies. Although people always say, “You will meet your best friend in different stages of your life.” I do agree with this statement but it doesn’t happen in everybody’s life.
Many times I wished to quit UTAR and continue study in other colleges because I really couldn’t adapt the atmosphere of degree in UTAR. It was totally so different from what I have experience during foundation. Sometimes I kind of hate some people who are selfish self-centered, and fake which force me to face so much challenges in my university life. Nevertheless, those people who came along have transform me into a stronger person which will not give up easily. So I would like to thank them who came into my UTAR life and gave me a great lecture to help me prepare to face the real world.

I am who I am today and thanks to UTAR and people who I have met in UTAR made my life to be so exciting and transform me to be a better person.

Florence
